Third-party notices

ATEM, NDI, VST3, and DeckLink are distributed separately from the first beta. Their original code uses MIT; third-party code and external software have their own terms. Each package and its version-specific source include NDI terms, VST3 Qt LGPL notices with corresponding sources and replacement instructions, and ATEM / DeckLink SDK notices.

Update checks
VTR-PON retrieves update information from the official site once after startup. You can also check manually using Help → Check for Updates.
Checking for updates does not automatically download or install the app. Download a new version through your browser.
Usage notifications
On a fresh Windows installation with the installer, notifications are enabled after you accept the license and usage-notification terms. A previously disabled setting is preserved during updates. The ZIP edition starts with notifications disabled; you can enable them in Updates and Notifications in the app.
The Mac DMG edition starts with notifications disabled in a fresh configuration. They can be enabled in Updates and Notifications; existing preferences are retained during updates.
When enabled, Windows and Mac distributions send only the version number to the official site during an update check. After a successful notification, no further notification is sent on the same UTC date. This information is used only to examine notification-count trends by version; it does not reveal the actual number of users.
These notifications contain no device identifiers, media names, or operation history. The statistics database records notification counts by date and version. Update checks and playout continue even if a notification fails.
Download counts
Windows installer and ZIP download buttons redirect through the official site's counting endpoint to the distribution files. The statistics database records link uses separately by date, version, and format.
Mac DMG links point directly to the files and do not use the Windows counting endpoint. The web host may keep standard access logs.
These figures do not measure completed downloads or users. They are used only to count uses of each version's download links by format.
